Welcome to the HTC P2I Section
Welcome to ‘Passport to Independence'. P2I is our out of College hours learning at KS3. Each subject sets an assignment based activity for students to complete over a 4 week period every term or half-term. The tasks are introduced in lesson time and staff provide 'stepping-stone' guidance to help students complete the tasks.
Horndean Technology College operates a condensed Key Stage 3 for Foundation Subjects and therefore students will receive P2I in years 7 and 8. In the Core subjects (English, Maths and Science) Key Stage 3 is the more traditional 3 years except for Express Groups who complete one or more of their Core subjects in 2 years.
Maths and MFL are set weekly P2I rather than a 4 week assignment. P2I in Music and Drama is based around participation in extra-curricular activities. These are pre-printed in to student planners.

Students may hand in a copy of the planning document and/or research table to help show the full extent of their work. P2I will be set on www.showmyhomework.co.uk/horndeantech in line with the P2I timetable and students will be guided by their Teacher to this website for details of the task, support materials and marking criteria.
