P2I recognises and rewards students for their attainment and effort against a set of criteria (see below), which is the same for every subject. As there are 9 criteria, a mark out of 9 is given and a corresponding award of Gold, Silver or Bronze is allocated. Once the work is marked, the student will receive a mark sheet such as the one printed below, which will be attached to their work:
| The student has identified the main issues/features required and shown they have the correct understanding of the learning |
/ |
| The student has used the correct vocabulary/techniques required |
/ |
| The student has demonstrated good use of spelling, punctuation and grammar where required |
|
| The student has clearly researched the topic |
/ |
| The student has presented the task in a creative and interesting way |
|
| The student has extended their learning by independently expanding the task |
/ |
| The student has submitted their work on time |
/ |
| The student has completed the whole task |
/ |
| The work submitted is entirely the student’s own |

Students who consistently achieve Gold Awards for their P2I work will receive further recognition, including announcements in Assemblies. A trophy will be awarded at Presentation Evening each year for the Year 7/8 student who has had the most outstanding achievement at P2I. Students who persistently fail to hand in P2I across many subjects could see a deduction of further merits from their House total.
P2I will be reported on SIMS Learning Gateway each half term, in the same manner as a Progress Review. With each P2I report, results will be added to existing entries, allowing you to be able to see the overall picture by the end of the year.
